|In an anonymous drop-box run by Baldren and forwarded to Dorchester Van Saar, addressed to the Efficiency Consultant for Mariss Milspec:
M. Vandenberg and Party;
We hope this letter finds you well. With all appearances showing a water recession in the coming year, we hope that your employment is secure and that you are prepared for the hit to the wallet that we may all be facing. Please remember that you are a member of the Hakkar family, and that family takes care of its own! Do not hesitate to contact us or the Hakkar Social Welfare Agency if you have any needs.
In the interests of deepening our relationship and in regards to previous letters, we would like to tentatively ofer you and your associates gainful, full-time employment with Mariss Milspec. While we were unable to provide you with a position in our last interaction we feel that the opportunity that we can now provide is a task to which you are especially suited.
Commonwealth dictates limit the amount of information we can currently disclose about the position. However, we can tell you that Mariss Milspec, after years of lobbying, has finally been granted status as a Tier II Commonwealth corporation, joining the likes of Kallam-Sollers-Makhan and Caprice Ships Interstellar in acclaim. As such, we have been granted special privelidges and opportunities which other corporations have no access to. By being accepted into Mariss Milspec's new Colonial Division, you will have the opportunity to:
* Travel to other colony worlds, and to Earth itself, during the course of your business life.
* Engage in business transactions with national governments across the Gate Web, such as the (censored) Republic, or (censored) (censored).
* Open new markets on worlds liberated by the Colonial Expeditationary Force.
* Help make a positive impact on the worlds through aiding the New Earth Concordat.
Time is of the essence in your decision - we are preparing our first delegation for review and, while your presence at this review is not mandatory, it would be helpful to the CID. Our new Colonial Division is preparing to leave in the coming weeks. Please contact us if you have further questions, or if you have come to a decision.
We know that you are right for this position. Please don't hesitate!
For the Commonwealth,
- H. Guilles
